I really dig this Lupe tune, It was the third single off of his album Food & Liquor, and come to mention it, I dig this whole damn album!
He won a Grammy for this tune, which also features the stunning female vocals of Jill Scott, and a doo-wop chorus, which gives it that very smooth laid back feel.
Although, the film clip is pretty damn average on a whole, makes no real sense and features a shit-house CGI robot - there's no denying it's one damn-fine killer track.
Anyway take a listen, watch the clip, and leave me a comment to let me know what you think.
I found myself drinking in a very, very, very nasty watering hole last week.
The place stunk like vomit, I thought I would have my head punched in at any minute for wearing a shirt, the length of the average rat's tail was 10cm long, and the scotch was the nastiest I'd ever tasted (but for $3 a pop I guess it was to be expected).
The pokies took up more than half the front bar, and as the horrible scotch and dry made my head spin and my stomach retch, I stumbled upon the bar's one saving grace.
THE JUKEBOX!
Despite my less than adequate surroundings the tunes that were pumping out were some of the best.
Yves Klein Blue, Getting Wise, was one of those songs.
Sadly the YKB boys split up late last year, but there's solo projects on the horizon, so stay tuned!
Today's tune is brought to you by the every so lovely Mieke...
I first heard Grouplove at the Florence and the Machine concert late last year at The Wiltern in LA.
They were the opening band and I wasn't expecting much, as I was only there to see Florence.
Grouplove turned out to be absolutely amazing with both their vocals and onstage performance.
They're a newish indie band that is sure to top the charts, with Triple J already binging themselves with songs such as; Colours, Naked Kids and Love will save your soul.
They're certainly a band on the rise, and one I'll be keeping an eye on. Fingers crossed they pencil in a Splendour In The Grass performance in 2011!
It's great to see The Strokes back and I'm really loving the super-catchy first single Under Cover Of Darkness.
It's a pretty up beat poppy number from the so called saviours of rock 'n' roll, and I personally think it's one of the best singles they've released for quite some time.
It's slightly different for The Strokes, yet has that undeniable Strokes vide.
It's a great first single of what I hope will be a killer new album. And I must say the lads look quite handsome in their suits in the clip.
So what do you think of The Strokes's latest offering?

Sydney band Richard In Your Mind are fucking great!
Last year they released an album called My Volcano and it’s a awesome mix of styles but mostly it’s psychedelic pop with a splash of tropical fruit juice.
I haven’t seen them live yet but apparently they set up the stage like a tropical beach scene with blow-up palm trees.
Anyway this clip and song Candelabra rules, definitely some Mighty Boosh-inspired effects going on with nothing but good times and a laid back summer vibe.
Put him in any band and he'll instantly make them extra awesome. Whether it be drums, guitar, producing or vocals, Dave's done and mastered it all.
Queens of the Stone Age certainly didn't need to raise their awesome levels but when they signed up Dave Grohl as skins man for their album, Songs For The Deaf, they were certainly doing themselves a favour.
Arguably the best QOTSA album, there's no denying that Homme, Oliveri and Grohl work bloody well together.
Driving in the car on my way to work this morning I was greeted by a cracking tune from Brit-Pop's glorious past. That's right, I'm talking about the recently reformed Pulp!
Emma Swift of FBI radio certainly got my day off to a cracking start with this song as I sung along to every word. Nothing like a good sing-a-long to get the day rolling.
So like I said, Pulp recently reformed in 2010 and are set to play a whole stack of festivals in the UK, and I've got my fingers and toes all crossed and hoping that we may see them in Australia for Splendour In The Grass. Now that would be awesome.

Sydney's own Andy Clockwise – this guy has talent, busting ass in US of A, where he seems to have come into his own.
This is the first clip of his that looks like it has had some money thrown at it. It's polished and suits the song perfectly.
Not typical of Andy either, I guess there is a lot of influence from life in the States.
A simple clip to a great stripped back melancholy song. There is something about this tune, and video that seems very nostalgic, I guess we have all been there.
Everyone loves a good whistle tune, and back in 2006 there was none better than Peter, Bjorn & John's Young Folks.
It was one of the biggest hits of the year, not only because of the whistling but also for it's simple and catchy lyrics, making it the perfect sign along song as well.
It's just a really simple happy pop song with a cool animated clip, and always manages to bring a smile to my face and whistling from my lips.

As good in stereo as in concert, the Melbourne boys tried-and-true formula of “start off soft and contain enough indecipherable sounds that punters can make-pitched noises to sing along” struck gold with “Love Lost”. The combination of Merv Hughes stretching routines and memories of hellacious cross-country runs is enough to certify the video as all-time, but the song’s got enough panache to stand on its own as one of the Temper Trap’s classics.
Not known for their massive onstage presence, the last time they played in Sydney with the Joy Formidable (with what can only be described as the largest green garbage ban in history as a backdrop) the Trap owned it. Whilst it won’t get you jumping off the walls or reflecting on life, it’ll leave you better than when you encountered it.

Warpaint is a four piece out of LA, which funnily enough now includes Stella Mozgawa, (one of Australia finest drumming exports) she is also the drummer in Andy Clockwise and has been for the past few years, she has also played with Tom Morello, Flea and Perry Ferrel + and probably many others… as she is awesome.
I love the song more so than the clip – not really sure what to make of it, see for yourself. The clip does make me miss summer, blue sky, sunshine, and the country. (I currently reside in the UK)
