Mutemath - Blood Pressure

Dear Everyone,

I'd love to introduce you to my new favourite band! He goes by the name Mutemath and his new album Odd Soul is a kick-arse disc full of musical awesome.

The lead single Blood Pressure is in contention for my favourite single of the year and when you top it off with one of the best film clips it's hard to argue.

The amazing freeze frame clip was filmed over 24hrs in on top of the Warner Bros Records parking lot and I believe was edited by the bands awesome drummer Darren King. There's so many cool parts, but my stand outs are the mid-air guitar riff and drum darts... you'll see what I mean.

Would love to keep talking and introduce you two more, but to be honest, just watch and listen. Once you've done that, pick your jaw up off the ground, hit the play button and repeat. That's what I'm gonna do.

Grouplove - Colours

Today's tune is brought to you by the every so lovely Mieke...

I first heard Grouplove at the Florence and the Machine concert late last year at The Wiltern in LA.

They were the opening band and I wasn't expecting much, as I was only there to see Florence.

Grouplove turned out to be absolutely amazing with both their vocals and onstage performance.

They're a newish indie band that is sure to top the charts, with Triple J already binging themselves with songs such as; Colours, Naked Kids and Love will save your soul.

They're certainly a band on the rise, and one I'll be keeping an eye on. Fingers crossed they pencil in a Splendour In The Grass performance in 2011!

Local Natives - World News

A five piece based in Silver Lake, LA, Local Natives create some damn fine electric guitar driven folky tunes.

I'm loving their debut album, Gorilla Manor, at the moment and World News is certainly on of my favourite tunes being played of late.

I caught this clip late last night on TV and just had to feature it today. Although, if anyone has any idea what's going on in the film clip please let me know. As I'm a bit lost, but I don't mind at all, the song is so great, getting lost in the clip is half the fun.
