Pulp - Disco 2000

Driving in the car on my way to work this morning I was greeted by a cracking tune from Brit-Pop's glorious past. That's right, I'm talking about the recently reformed Pulp!

Emma Swift of FBI radio certainly got my day off to a cracking start with this song as I sung along to every word. Nothing like a good sing-a-long to get the day rolling.

So like I said, Pulp recently reformed in 2010 and are set to play a whole stack of festivals in the UK, and I've got my fingers and toes all crossed and hoping that we may see them in Australia for Splendour In The Grass. Now that would be awesome.

Pulp - Common People

There's a dingy crap pub near my house that's never got anyone in there. It's recently had a big expensive fit out in search of the up market dollars, then there's the TAB section full of old gambling drunks who scare away the rest of the patrons, and they also have student specials during the week.

It's so confused about what sort of pub it is that no one ends up going at all. It's one saving grace is the $5 meals it has and the great songs that play on the jukebox.

No one ever seems to be putting the songs on, but the selection is always full of old and new gold. While eating my steak the other night with a mate, this cracker of a tune came on. Although it didn't make me want to sleep with the smelly, old common people in the TAB room, it did remind me of the awesomess that is Jarvis Cocker and Pulp.
