Nirvana - Lithium

20 years ago the music gods smiled upon the earth and said 'The people shall have grunge, and it will be mighty'.

And mighty it was, with grunge taking over and kicking the arse of every other genre that dared compete for stereo play.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers gave us Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic, Eddie Vedder and the Pearl Jam lads hit us up with Ten and then three young skinny lads who went by the name Nirvana gave us quite possibly the greatest album to be released in our lives, that's right people we're talking Nevermind.

The generation defining album contained the hits In Bloom, Come As You Are, Lithium and of course the iconic Smells Like Teen Spirit.

To say that 1991 was a good year would be the world's greatest understatement.

Enjoy.

Foo Fighters - White Limo

To say I have a man-crush on Dave Grohl would be an understatement.

The guy is bloody amazing, whether he's smashing the skins, screaming out vocals up the front or shredding on his axe.

The new Foo Fighters album is a kick-arse album full of Dave and Foo goodness, and this is certainly one of my favourites.

Lemmy from Motorhead features as the limo driver in what looks like a film clip they had a shed-load of fun filming.

Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows

Dave Grohl the music world's greatest chameleon.

Put him in any band and he'll instantly make them extra awesome. Whether it be drums, guitar, producing or vocals, Dave's done and mastered it all.

Queens of the Stone Age certainly didn't need to raise their awesome levels but when they signed up Dave Grohl as skins man for their album, Songs For The Deaf, they were certainly doing themselves a favour.

Arguably the best QOTSA album, there's no denying that Homme, Oliveri and Grohl work bloody well together.

Foo Fighters - Low

So I interviewed Chris Shiflett from the Foo Fighters today, and can I just say he's an absolute legend. We got talking about Foo Fighters film clips, and he said his favourite is 'All My Life' which is a cracking tune and cool clip with Dave's clear perspex guitar and red silhouettes. But for me I just can't go past 'Low'.

There's something about Dave Grohl and Jack Black done up as cross dressing hicks having a night of passion in a cheap and seedy motel.

Dave looks great as a nasty version of Paris Hilton while Jack Black looks like Rosie O'Donnell on roids, yet some how sexier.

So this is my favourite Foo Fighters clip. There's plenty more but I had to pick one. What's your favourite Foo's vid?
