...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Naked Sun

I've been a fan of ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead for many years now and I recently came across this very cool clip of theirs for, Naked Sun, which is from their 2006 album, So Divided.

The clip features a group of children wandering through the desert being spied on by their would be assassins.

Turns out these kids have rad superpowers and end up using them on the nasty baddies... with great results.

I love the effect with the wool, very cool indeed. Plus I'm sure if you listen closely to the lyrics there's an important message about sun safety in there somewhere.

Cool and educational!

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

This is by Katie, yep, it's her second Arcade Fire song that she's requested. She's mad for their sweet soothing styles. So Katie, take it away...

As mentioned previously, I am crazy for all things Arcade Fire!

This morning I came across their new film clip to 'The Suburbs' directed by Spike Jonze, whom I think is as bigger a fan as I am.

Apparently the band spent a week in the suburbs of Austin, Texas hanging out with a bunch of teenagers and the result is as awesome as you would expect.

It's all part of a short film that Spike Jones and Arcade Fire are collaborating on, and is titled 'Scenes From The Suburbs'. It makes for one damn fine film clip. Enjoy...

Bob Marley - Is This Love

A few weeks ago a friend posted a status update on Facebook stating her hatred for all things reggae, and to be honest I was a bit shocked. Sure reggae isn't going to be every one's cup of (herb) tea, but I didn't think it was possible to hate something that to me is so positive and happy.

The greatest reggae man of all time Bob Marley was full of love and positivity that it makes me happy every time I listen to any of his tunes. Is This Love, I certainly hope so!

I love the film clip to this song, it's just Marley performing at a kids party and everyone having a good time. Filmed in the days when you could have kids in a film clip without people thinking nasty things about you. I wish this was one of my birthday parties, a great time would be had by all.

So light up the darkness people and let Bob give you a big music hug and share the warmth and love that is reggae.

Jamie T - Salvador

Jamie T's one top geezer, who's got some solid tunes to match. The first Jamie T tune I ever came across was Salvador. I was up late watching film clips when I nothing this little kid just tearing it up. The little dude owns it, so much so it had me wondering if the kid was actually the artist (I had been drinking) of said new found tune, clearly he's not, but he's just as cool.

There's something so damn awesome about kids singing and dancing in film clips, The Black Keys clip I've featured previously does it as good as this one.

So tiny little Jamie T you are my song of the day.
