Weezer - Say It Ain't So

Say It Ain't So by Weezer is a chunk of pop rock heaven! It's from the album Blue which is one of my all-time favourites.

If I was to add up the amount of hours I've spent sitting around with friends listening to this album you'd probably be shocked, but time spent with Weezer and Blue is always going to be time well spent in my book... and I'm sure the friends who listened to it with me would say the same.

In fact, I've spent so much time with Blue that I class this album as one of my best friends. I might not see him every week these days but when we catch up those old memories and riffs come running back. Memories best served with a cold Heine' (so it stops crowdin' your icebox)  and the volume turned way up.

Weezer - Island In The Sun

I was woken this morning by this song on the radio, and my god it was the best way to wake up. Such a great smiley happy song.

It was released in 2001, on Weezer's killer Green album , a favourite of mine. This was one of the big hits and was certainly the song of my summer.

It also featured in the Triple J hottest 100 where it polled an impressive 7. They also made two film clips for the song, the first one done by the band and the record label, and the second one was directed by Spike Jonze that features the band playing with a bunch of cool animals. God I love that guy!

So which clip is your favourite?

Weezer - Memories

Weezer are in my top five favourite bands of all time, they've been a bit hit and miss over the past few years (we're talking about Beverly Hills, what was with that song!) but this news single is a little slice of Weezer heaven.

They've teamed up with the boys from Jackass, and there's some classic scenes from the movie that have made it into the clip.

I'm also back at home in South Australia visiting some friends and family so this tune seems appropriate for today.

So get emotional and reminisce about the good old days like I am! Love to all. xxx

Weezer - Only In Dreams

They say only in dreams, but last night mine came true!

I was going to pick Ash or We Are Scientists as song of the day today, as last night I saw them co-headlining together and as expected, they were both amazing. I was smiling from ear-to-ear for the whole concert, and already thinking what songs I would pick to go on the blog.

And then came the encore...

Both bands hit the stage, two drum kids, and 5 guitars all going at once. I was pretty pumped to be seeing two of my favourite bands in one go, and then they kicked into Weezer's tune, Only In Dreams. It's one of my all time favourite tunes! I was in duck heaven.

A wave of excitement washed over me as I guzzled the end of my 13th beer, threw an arm around my mate and sang my little heart out.

Thanks Ash and We Are Scientists, and thanks Weezer, you're all bloody awesome.

PS - this isn't the film clip to this song. There isn't one, so I went with the Anime clip. haha, enjoy.
