Elliott Smith - A Fond Farewell

Although he's no longer with us, listening to Elliott Smith is like a big warm hug on a rainy afternoon, and with the horrible cold weather we've been having lately, it seems appropriate to put on some Elliott Smith and get cosy and warm.

I love this guy and his songs so much, and the fact that he's passed on seems to make his songs and lyrics all that more powerful. Obviously suffering from depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction took it's toll, on this beautiful song writer, and it's reflected in his deep thinking, moving and often scary lyrics.

So while this depressing weather continues to keep raining on our parade, put on some Elliott Smith curl up with a blanket and a loved one and stay warm. Just keep the sharp objects hidden away.
