Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)

Radiohead make the most amazing music, we all know that. Derrr!
They have a truckload of amazing film clip too and Street Spirit is certainly one of them.

Just don’t cheer and carry on when they play it live…

"It drains me, and it shakes me, and hurts like hell every time I play it, looking out at thousands of people cheering and smiling, oblivious to the tragedy of its meaning, like when you're going to have your dog put down and it's wagging its tail on the way there. That's what they all look like, and it breaks my heart. I wish that song hadn't picked us as its catalysts, and so I don't claim it. It asks too much. I didn't write that song." - Thom Yorke

The combination of Yorke’s haunting vocals and striking imagery and super-slow motion (yep you all know I’m a sucker for the slow-mo) make this clip my song of the day.

Prince - Cream

Prince, such a cool little man!

I loved this song as a kid, I was only 10-years-old when it was released. In fact I was digging on it so much that Mum went out and bought me a Prince tape to play while on school holidays.

I was so young and innocent... little did I know that my new favourite song was quite possibly one of the raunchiest, sexually suggestive songs of all time.

I listened to the words in detail not that long ago, and was a little bit shocked. Can't believe my Mum used to let me run around singing this. No wonder I ended up working with bikini and lingerie models, it was my destiny. haha

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Bright Lit Blue Skies

One of the coolest and most varied albums of 2010, for me, was Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti's, Before Today.

Each song sounds so different yet oh so cool, and Bright Lit Blue Skies is a happy pop tune perfect for any lazy Sunday summer afternoon.

And although we haven't had the best summer, we have had our fair share of bright lit blue skies. So here's hoping that there's many more to come with lazy afternoons spent sitting on the beach and drinking ice cold beer.

The Rapture - Whoo! Alright! Yeah! Uh-huh!

So as I've said before I went to the Falls Festival for New Years Eve.

I loved Public Enemy but I have to say my highlight for the entire festival was The Rapture.

It may have had something to do with the amount of beer and vodka I'd downed, but when this tune came on I sung and danced like a crazy man. I think I may have scared a few people but I didn't mind, I was having the time of my life.

People don't dance no more
They just stand there like this
They cross their arms and stare you down and drink and moan and piss

Nada Surf - Blonde On Blonde

Well... Nada Surf, Blonde On Blonde, it's just one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

The New York three piece have been around since 92 and pumped out six albums in that time. This stunning tune is from their 2002 release, Let Go.

It's just such a soothing song that feels like a trip through the clouds in the arms of a loved one. Every time this song comes on I just drift away and forget about everything that troubles me.

It's like a soul cleansing in the form of pop rock genius, so hit the play button, find a comfortable seat, close those eyes and let your musical spa treatment begin.

Public Enemy - 911 Is A Joke

All of Australia is Public Enemy crazy at the moment.

One of the world's most influential hip-hop acts hit up our shores this summer for a selection of festivals and side shows. I was lucky enough to catch Chuck D, Flava Flav and co at the Falls Festival and they blew everyone away.

Celebrating it's 20th year anniversary they played their album Fear Of The Black Planet in it's entirety. So here's one of my favourite tunes off of their killer album.

Bust out your novelty sized clocks and jump around and sing with me! 911's a joke!
