Funeral Party - NYC Moves To The Sound Of LA

There's been plenty of screechy vocals and a truckload of cowbell busting out of my speakers this year. One could almost say, I've got a fever... and the only prescription is more cowbell!

Thankfully the Funeral Party are here to help me out with some cracking rock tunes highlighting the fact that New York may or may not be stealing (or borrowing) what some like to call the L.A. sound.

I don't particularly wanna get involved in the NY Vs L.A. beef, to be honest I'm happy to sit back and let them duke it out on their own, as long as The Funeral Party keep making cracking songs like this I'm going to be more than happy.

Tapes 'n Tapes - Cowbell

This song burst onto my iPod this morning, and got me thinking. Where have Tapes 'N' Tapes been hiding? It's been two years since the release of their last album and five since this awesome track came along.

Cowbell is easily my favourite tune of theirs, it's very catchy but has a bit of a dark side to it that's really intriguing. Plus he chucks a Mumma joke in there for good measure.

Hopefully we'll hear from them again soon, it's been too long.
