Daft Punk - Da Funk

The other night I came across this blast from the past and just had to post it.

Da Funk is an old favourite of mine, you can't help but feel for the big sad dog as he bumbles his way around New York city looking for friends and playing his tunes.

You can always rely on Daft punk for a killer clip, and Da Funk is no exception. It's also directed by Spike Jonze who has made some of my all time favourite clips so I was always gonna be a fan of this one.

And if you're feeling bad for Charlie the dog, don't worry, things get better for him in the sequel clip for Fresh.

Vampire Weekend - Giving Up The Gun

Vampire Weekend are starting to get a name for having some of the best new film clips, and it also seems that they're attracting plenty of celebrity friends that they're able to chuck in their vids.

This clip has more stars than a censored version of Playboy and features Daft Punk, a Jonas brother, Jake Gyllenhall, Lil Jon as the tennis coach, and RZA as the umpire. Yep, it's a strange tennis clip that looks like the bastard child of Wimbledon and Pong.

There's something so believable about a drunk and angry Jake Gyllenhall that just does it for me.
