The Horrors - Who Can Say

The Horrors 2009 album, Primary Colours, was one of the stand out highlights for me.
Although I didn't hear a hell of a lot of it on the radio or on friends stereos, it certainly signaled a change in direction for the band.

Channeling their inner Cure and Joy Division, The Horrors produced a mind-blowing album that left me wanting more.

Seeing as it's Halloween week, I thought I might as well up up some of The Horrors to get the spooky theme going.

I struggled so hard with what song to pick off the album, as they're all so damn good. But I finally went with Who Can Say. But you can bet the rest of the songs will feature soon enough.

The Cure - Boys Don't Cry

Sometimes the world can get quite overwhelming and beat you down, in these times there's nothing better than a big hug and a bit of a cry to let out that build up emotion.

Well that's what I've heard, personally I wouldn't know, because I'm a man, and men don't share their emotions or cry! in fact I have it on very good authority that boys don't cry either.

I read somewhere that Robert Smith had his tear ducts removed, so he couldn't cry anymore. He liked to cry, but he just kept ruining too many good shirts... all that mascara made a terrible mess every time he would let the salty drops flow.

Epic track, with a creepy yet cool boy band version of The Cure, Robert Smith's silhouette with red glowing eyes is the stuff nightmares were made of as a little kid.
